The links listed below will take you to self-guided tutorials that explain the mathematics and equations needed to develop feedstock recipes for composting (based on moisture content and C:N ratio). The first tutorial presents examples in kilograms, metric tons and cubic meters. In the second tutorial, the examples use pounds, U.S. short tons (2000 lbs) and cubic yards. They are otherwise the same.
