CREF Advances TMECC Update Project

CREF is leading an update to the Test Methods for the Examination of Composting and Compost (TMECC), the industry’s reference standard for compost testing.

This multi-year project is focused on adding new methods, refining existing protocols, and ensuring the TMECC remains current with the latest science and technology. By incorporating updated field and laboratory practices, the TMECC update will provide more reliable data to composters, regulators, and researchers, ultimately supporting compost quality and market confidence.
