Sally Brown, Ph.D.

Sally is a research professor at the UW – School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, her work focuses on the use of biosolids and composts in areas like contaminant risk, site restoration, carbon balance, and urban green infrastructure. She has served on several national committees, including the National Academy of Sciences and USDA, and is a former board member of both the Soil Science Society of America and the US Compost Council. She’s also a longtime columnist for Biocycle Connect.
