PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
- TITLE OF PROJECT
- NAME OF PROJECT PROPOSER (ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL)
- UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION AND NAME OF PROJECT ADVISOR (ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL)
- PAGE SIZE: Standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper (portrait)
- 1-inch margin throughout (left/right/top/bottom)
- Single-spaced
- Paragraphs should not be separated by a blank line and should be indented
- Character fonts should be 12-point type
- APPLICATION CONTENT:
a) Complete description of project, including project goals, project activities to support goals, location of project, project timeline and deliverables and any other information relevant to the project
b) Application should be clear and concise and the narrative should be no more than 1,500 words or three pages, whichever is less
c) An overall budget for the project (paying for lab testing, purchasing equipment for the project, student wages or other direct project costs)
d) Please include your complete contact information as well as a brief biography (education, other research projects/interests, etc)

- PROJECT DELIVERABLES:
a) Written final report that is reviewed by the project advisor
b) Final Project report should follow standard scientific research writing format. Final 20% of the scholarship will be awarded when the report is submitted
Scholarship recipients are encouraged to publish results of their research in a suitable peer reviewed research journal (e.g., Waste Management, Compost Science & Utilization, etc.). If recipients need assistance in preparing such, kindly contact the CREF Board of Trustees at info@compostfoundation.org and appropriate assistance will be rendered.
